PRAYER OF OUR ELDERS ON HOLY THURSDAY
Maundy Thursday is the day of the Last Supper and the priestly order. With the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Lenten season ends and the Holy Three Days of Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ begin!
Today, this prayer of our ancestors is prayed a hundred times. Every place has its own version, but it’s beautiful, so let’s not forget this one of ours:
“Thy sweetheart,
Bud in the source of the crypt.
When you travel,
uskin putin,
tisnin klancin,
it will kill you
unclean spirit;
They will ask you:
“Are you mine or God’s?”
“Nisan is yours, but God’s.
I want God, I don’t want you.
She swore a dream
on a mild tribute
on Maundy Thursday,
the table of Jesus,
sto Amena,
cross yourself a hundred times:
Ujm (in the name) of the Father and the Son
and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
